ok my car make scratching and groaning noises only whenever im not stepping on the clutch, but if i step on the clutch the noise goes away is it because of my tranny. its just started. here's how it happened. my tranny was already grinding 3rd but to day i went on a 2 hour trip 4 hours total there and back after i got home 5th and 3rd grinds and its making that noise also i think its my tranny but i just want to make sure.

thats noise sounds like your throw out bearing. when your pressing on the clutch pedal your making the throw out bearing ride against the pressure plates which woul dbe y the noise goes away. i would replace that and when you do it you should also change ur tranny fluid to synchromesh, cuz that might help to take away the grinding in ur trans. i bought one of my integra once and 3rd gear grinded in almost any driving condition. i swapped the trans fluid to synchromesh and after about 300 miles no more grinds. its a cheap way to help ur trans out

 

throw out bearing is the problem about the groaning..replace the throw out bearing and clutch. i would do them both now. the tranny u need to change and/or check the fuild 17mm bolt on the side off the tranny put your finger in it and see if there is fuild if so it should be full and change it at the bottom there is a 3/8 rachet fiting break like a oil change.. look for metal and hit use back...
