Difficult to say, but I have not heard '02. I've heard early '03 as the earliest. But looking at the strength [or lack thereof] of the US "Dollar" I have to start thinking that it may not arrive at all...
The dollar is expected to fall 15% to 25% within the next two years. I think this may be an understatement due to the fact that it has fallen 6% in the first 6 months of this year alone....

nope not in 2002, some dealers have told me 2003, but dont really know anything, there just guessing.....hard to say when , maybe never, we'll never get a CTR , i know that for sure....the new SI already has the CTR interior, so i guess thats all honda plans to dish out for that..SUCKS
you wont ever see it in a legal USDM buy it from your acura dealer trim... Too much money involved since Acura is Alpha numeric now. Remember the rest of the world still calls it an Integra... We and Canada call the RSX... You have to design new red Acura badges for it, new RSX Type R basdges for it... Too much money will be spent for all that plus the EPA DOT thing...
The integra type R (RSX) coming this year? Not going to happen. Rumors are spreading like wildfire's but its all bs. The earliest I have heard and remember its a rumor so far but I've heard late 2003 early 2004. The dealers here was saying late 2003 but they werent sure. As for the civic type R coming that is never going to happen. But people can make a civic type R with the new Si. Si with the rsx type S motor and get a lsd and .....presto!!! instant civic type R, just add gas. hehe. Well hope the info helped. Good Luck.
screw that...i'd get an SI..gut it...drop it OEM CTR body kit...wheels....with a the new 2.4 crv block with an S2000 k20 head.....find a JDM Lsd....and *drools*....yes...can we say the ultimate hybrid....to bad damn i-vtec wont work with it....stupid ECU's

look.. what will it take to get it through your heads.. the RSX-R isnt coming here ever... For one it completely defetes the purpose of having a Type S version and calling it a Type S... The S is the top of the line model in Acura now.. Look at the TL and CL...
Second designing the badges will cost some bucks... there are 1500 a year at the most... 4 years... thats 6000 RSX-R badges... Japan sells more than 6000 Rs a year... Its not limited production there like here.
Third it wont pass emmisions or DOT. You dont want to know what the HP output was from a guy who imported it and had it tested... How about 165 HP in a 2.0L type R... Thats what he got...
Fourth.. Back to the type S thing... This is the first time ever that a Type R and a Type S car will exist in Japan. The 2 are usually synonomis with each other with the S car designated more for sport and street use...
Trust me on this... Its not coming. Start working on those Type S motors so you can give us R owners a run at the track.

if the current new Dc5-r has 217 bhp, detunned it would have maybe ten less or so , with lower c/r pistons , just like the JDM Dc2-R had 205 hp, USDM had 195 hp...if ya have an estimated 207 hp motor , and the current RSX-S has 200, i dont see how Acura will see any sales in that, we do of course , cause its a Type R, but Acura, well you know them....i can see more and more that the new ITR may never make it to our shores....

Maybe you guys might get a DC5R similar in specs to the Australian DC5R...
Well if the package included Just the lsd it would be worth it. And if the brakes came with it to that would be well worth it imo.
I wouldnt mind the brembos, the stock brakes arent to good, im getting squeaking already, hey what brake pads would you recomend for the rsx-s? I dont want the stock pads anymore, I am looking into upgrading. Any recomendations??
And as for the 17's hehe I already got them, they look nice and are lighter then the stocks, and as for the LSD im looking at 15oo.oo, not bad to have both tires spining off the line heheh, till I get my falken azienis again. Well soon my car will be faster handle even better. If you guys know where I can find these parts cheaper please im me or post here.. my aim is.. q8x
thanks guys...

I somwhow dont think it will ever come over here, but if it does then I may even look into it, anyways, just enjoy the S for now.
i know of a few guys who use them on g3's and g1's for auto x, they say they have zero fade , and brake very strong....good for street and track....they run about 80 bucks, you can find them here http://www.porterfield-brakes.com/ i dont know if they make them for the RSX yet , but you can e-mail them and ask.....i here nothing but good things about these, if they doont make them yet, i'm sure they will soon
Yea.. I'm with some of these other guys.. I don't think the Type R is ever gonna reach our shores.. it would defeat the whole purpose of the Type S which is the highest model Acura makes here in the US..
well the gs-r was the highest level teg , but look at its stats...170 hp , vs 195, and luxo-sport coupe ~vs~ race prepped street car....the new type s only lacks a tiny bit compared to the new DC5-r ......it lacks LSD , brembro brakes, aero hit , and a little more power.....so for the US the new Rsx-S is the new Type R....but prove us wrong acura , please prove us wrong.....
