Default itr struts springs and lcas installed-review

Well, coming from a car with OEM GSR Blown struts, with cut gsr springs, this is a pretty dramatic improvement. I have a minor racing background, so I know how to push the car hard, and I'll share with you my experience. The suspension, in my opinion, is superior to my tires. I lose traction much sooner than the suspension is at its limits. I am running some toyo proxies and really need some azenis. When I am pushing the tires to the limits, the car handles well. It is very neutral. The ITR suspension is firm. Driving around daily on the car it feels some of the bumps of the road- great driver feedback. If this is a problem for you, don't get aftermarket suspension. Around corners the only thing I don't like about this upgrade is it leaves the rear just a tad untamed. The stiffer lcas, struts and rear spring rates need a stiffer rear sway bar. I have some understeer, and it's noticable. I am really glad I did this upgrade, and will be complementing the rear end with a stiffer sway bar shortly. Great for hte money, I did this upgrade for less than 250$, and it wasn't too difficult (just needed to shave the struts to take the lcas).

great review! i just got all my parts too and will be installing them on my car soon. what do u mean exactly by "shave the struts"? did you have a problem putting the ITR strut thru the rear LCA?

Which Toyos are you running? Proxies is the name of the entire line (like 7 tires)including cheaper FZ4's to the nice T1S.

I edited my previous post. I really didn't mean to say that your tires were crappy. I meant to say "from the cheaper FZ4's to the nicer T1S".

It's just getting to be a pet peeve of mine after a couple years of hearing from friends and reading posts about the the Toyo "Proxes". You don't know how many times I've been told that I got 'rippped off' because someone's friend payed half the price I payed for the same Toyo Proxes or that someone's friend had them and they sucked big time. And then find out that they were totatlly mixing up one of the Toyo's $60-80 tires to their $150 tires. It's like saying Bridgestone Potenza S03's suck because a friend had the Potenzas and they sucked. So sorry if you thought I bagged on your tires before.

i could care less. i have a set of race tires i use, these are just to beat on the street. sorry about your bad experiences, but I never claimed all "proxies" sucked, I just said the tires I had couldn't match the suspension. Which I'm sticking to.

I know. I reread my other post after I hit post and I thought that I was kinda harsh in my wording. I just didn't want to leave you with the impression that I was knocking something that you had for any reason.
