I took my car to shop becouse my car kept overheating
and my friend took my water pump and timming apart to check out the problem.

I got it fixed but when I got car back the (Problem: car wont shift into gearby its self any more )

the guy at the honda shop told me that the shifter box went bad and i need to replace it.

is there such thing as a shifter box and what can do 2 fix this problem?

 

What they meant by shifter box is probably the transmission. If it's the tranny, it could be a variety of things, tcm, fluid level....but first I would do a fluid flush if you haven't done so. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head, I'm sure others can chime in.

If the car was shifting just fine before you took it to the shop and then you had problems shifting after you got the car.

you need a control box for the trans, mounted under floor on pass. side. you can use controller from 90 to 93 any model. if you use from 92 or 93 S button will not work & S light will stay on
