Hondata IM Gasket and Removal of IM
Hey there guys. I'm looking to buy a Hondata Intake manifold gasket or something similar. How did you guys like it? Is it just a replacement of the current gasket? (I heard you have to cut out a hole or something) Worth the $$$?
How hard was the removal of the IM? Can anyone give me a brief description of the things related?
Thank-You!!!

It does almost nothing. And its a huge pain in the *** to install. Install a new manifold while you have it apart to make it worth your time.
it's not a pain HUGE pain in the *** but it's not going to make you feel a super huge power jump. Like finkle said wait till you get a new manifold or an RBC if you ever go that route. It's not worth the time to put it in.
its not a power add on its more to sustain hp it really helps with heat soak i say do it and if you dont want to go rbc at least get the Rcrew P.I.M.P its a little box that makes the chamber in the manifold bigger. but yeah i say if you have the time do the img maybe even a nice fuel rail while your at it

I just took a closer look today at the bolt locations. It does seem like a pain in the butt. Engine is so compact... I guess i'll wait until i really need to do something with taking off the IM. Thanks guys for the reply!
The bolt location isn't the problem... Its getting the old IM out of the engine bay. I had to back out a head stud to get my PRC in. When I replaced It with the RBC, I replaced all the studs with bolts.
My car runs amazingly cooler, the temp gauge reads alot lower now, worth the 50 bucks IMO. Make sure you have time to install it, it's not that bad but it's not that good eighther.

I did the same thing, i see no point in keeping the head studs.

I have a new Hondata IMG that someone gave me. I started to look at the install process and figured that it would take a little while to put in. Not sure if I'll get around to it or not since it does look like a PITA.
Maybe I'm just getting lazy, though.

nah it's not that much of a PITA. take all bolts, head studs off and of course TB it'll comes straight up/off. Oh yeah and the brackets that "enforce/embrace" the IM.
