84 prelude issues..Please help
I am trying to help my younger brother out with his prelude, but no luck. Maybe somebody on here can help me.
This is what I have come across.
1.) Does not turn over at all and not getting any spark
2.) horn, lights, anything electrical are not working.
3.) battery is fairly new. (tried to jumpstart and still nothing)
4.) checked all fuses and all looked fine.
What else can I look for?

Checked battery terminals and cables and they looked fine. Connections were strong and were not loose.
What other wiring could I look at?

Do this just to be sure: unbolt the battery wires and sand/clean the mounting points and then torque them back down. If that does nothing I would move to the fuse box power wire (from the battery). Unbolt, clean and re-attach the wires and check the length of the wire for damage. Also double check the fuses...
I would say it's a relay or seomthing but if nothing works then the car is just not getting any power.

Is this the one wire that connects from the head to the body? Would I just disconnect and reconnect?
I am thinking something got wet because we had some rain recently.
Thanks guys, I am still trying to figure out what the problem is. My bro has no car to get to school so, I have been taking him when I can.

I unbolted and sanded/cleaned the mounting terminals and still no go. I did notice some wiring that is a little exposed. It looks like the rubber protector around it got burned off, but the wiring still seems intact.
I am hoping that it did not get wet as it rained here earlier last week.
Still trying to figure this problem out.

Did you check the power wire to the fuse box and the major fuses like the battery fuse? It's going to be something simple in the end

Seriously. I guess thats why its called trial and error. And The car was running fine earlier that week and all of sudden its completely dead.
How would I check the pwer to the fuse box? Could I just ground that wire?
I checked all the main fuses and they looked fine. Ill take a look at again later today when I get home.
Thanks

The main problem was the battery. It was completely drained.
Now, I have another problem that consists of the headlights staying on and then draining the battery once again. Is this a wiring problem?
This car seems like its on its last leg. I sure hope not as this car has over 350K miles on original motor believe it or not.

Stick with it, electrical issues are easy once you find what the problem is.
Check out the headlight switch, sounds like it's not going off completely. It could be pretty worn on the inside after 350K miles.

I checked those already and I replaced all the relays to be safe.

He's been having some issues with the headlights sometimes not turning on. It would then flicker on and off like something wasnt connected properly. It would take him a few turns to get the lights to stay on fully.
As for the headlight switch...do you mean the plug that connects to headlight housing? or the switch where you turn the **** on the inside of the car?
Thanks again guys for the input

I want to try to figure out the problem, but we've actually had some rain out here in ca so, I havent had the time to take a look at the car again. They're calling it a "major" storm, but its probably nothing to other places in the US.
Once again I will keep you guys posted with any new information. In the mean time, if anybody has any other input I would greatly appreciate it. I will not give up on this beast of a car.

I mean the switch on the inside. There are metal contacts inside that slide against eachother to make connections and that causes wear. You should be able to take it apart pretty easy and see the contacts...

After many weeks of trying to figure the problem it ended up being a bad waterpump. I also replaced the pulley and the battery terminal cables.
This car is simply amazing with 315K on the original motor and still running strong. I thought it was on its last leg a few weeks ago, but it ended being something not too serious.
Thanks for everyones input I greatly appreciate it...
