Who knows when that could happen. I would just pay the $175 to have it replace I'm guessing? Or was that for them to take it off and tighten everything?

I got quoted from Honda for a $250 full replacement of my power steering rack (boot was/is ripped)

My friend had his power steering rack break on the highway in his integra - that was not very pretty. Car shot to the side and hit a guardrail. He had no idea what had happened.

no, I'm pretty sure the $175 is what he paid for the car

how much do they want for the rack?

if it's alot I'd get a haynes/helm and do it yourself
