Back up lights, Meter lights (turn signals) fuse keeps blowing
"Back up lights, Meter lights (turn signals)" is exactly how the fuse box reads. It keeps blowing, yet when it does, the back up lights and turn signals still work. What doesnt work when this fuse blows, is my windows, my clock radio speedometer, tach and any indicator lights such as my doors (on dash) abs or srs lights, and my wind shield wipers. Ive had this car for many years so its not something miss wierd. I have looked for loose grounds and trouble shot everything. The engine runs great (no performance lost) but the fuse pops under hard acceleration.
any ideas ?
oh yeah, what are meter lights, and why is turn signals in parinthasis on the fuse box? There is also another fuse onder the dash that just says turn signals, is one fuse for the front and one for the back. I rather rebuild the bottom end then search for electrical gremlins. Oh yeah there are no codes Thanks

try cleaning up the grounds. if the ground as a weak connection and a stronger surge goes threw the lines and not enough ground u will burst ur fuse
Thanks, yeah I did that, everything from battery to alternator etc. Made sure all other grounds that I could find were secure and no wires exposed under dash and hood.

you are wrong my friend......a poor ground will not cause a fuse to blow ,it will make the component not to work or work at times.. But if a fuse blows there is a power wire which is shorted to ground or a component which is shorted internally.....
which # fuse does it blow ?? done any work to car recently ?? been in any collision??

Back up lights, Meter lights (turn signals)" is exactly how the fuse box reads for the fuse that blows. I changed my control arms and put on a new exhaust as well but the exhaust isnt close to any wires, and I checked the anchor bolts from the C-arms to see if I damaged anything, but it looks good. The intermitent wipers did not work with the fuse blown and since I put in a higher amp fuse, The wipers dont work at all now, even with the fuse. I had had an issue with the "brakelamp" light, and "door ajar indicators" coming on once in a while but all brake bulbs worked, I changed them but it still comes on every once in a while. No electrical work done for a while. Everything has always worked well with the car. No collissions. Thanks
