how about tein basic damper over s-tech?
I had tein s-tech on my 05 type-s right for couple of months already. It looks awful and shocks are killing me. awful because the rear is lower than the front (thats a no no for jdm looks). I'm kind of broke where i can spend about $900 to replace those s-tech. Was thinking of tein basic damper the easy and quality way. What do you guy thinks? advice and suggestion is appreciated.
buying new shock cost around $400-500. Just a little more money to get the basic damper, isnt that a great idea since it comes with structs and coil overs so height adjustment can be made without the funky look of s-tech. Or you are telling me s-tech with new quality shocks is a good combation compare to basic damper? Let me know. thanks.

Yeah, I would suggest going with full coilovers. Do some research on all coilovers available and find out which ones suit your needs the best. Some of the popular ones are Tein, Buddy club N+, Mugen, Progress, B&G... etc.
Some advice: I had tein ss-p coilovers and they were great for daily driving. They were height and damper adjustable, giving you the ability to raise/lower your car aswell as adjusting the firmness on the shocks. They also have the compatability with tein edfc. The only reason I got rid of them was to upgrade to tein flex. The tein basic do no have the ability to adjust the dampers. I dont know if thats something you want but just thought I would point it out just in case you did not already know.

S-Techs with new shocks (like Konis) will not give you the sag. Actually, I have never heard of S-techs sagging in the rear...if anything people complain that they are too high in the rear compared to the front. When I ran S-techs the height was perfect all the way around.
IMO adjustable coilovers are somewhat pointless on a daily driver, and usually the inexpensive adjustable coilovers have inferior dampers.

I have Tein S-Tech and KYB shock on my old EK, with bars everywhere, it was the best!
Now I have Tein Basic on my EP3 and it feels good daily driven but a little soft on the highway. I like the fact that I can adjust the ride height. I have 1.25" front and 1" rear drop, it's not the lowest it can go.
