Default Type S ECU and Cams

I no someone who is selling Type S ECU and type s cams. would they work in my A3? i no the cams would but would the ECU?? would it even make a difference. also just wondering would type r cams work out of a K20a? (by the way not putting them in yet i want full valvetrain first.)

Type S cams will only work if you use the type s rocker assemble but for more detail on it, you'll have to find the DIY thread.

i wouldn't advise going that route there is no reliability. Unless you are some God mechanic and know exactly what you are doing i wouldn't even ponder on trying to make an A3 work correctly to perform the functions of an A2. Long story short and to be cheaper... get an A2. There's more to it then slappin A2 cams into A3 head. You'll probably spend an arm and a leg just trying to get it to work properly and if it's your only car that you have, i don't think you'd have time to have that car down. Be realistic, it costs time and money. For the price you might as well swap an A2.

Again, damn. You just bought the car and already you're jumping 3 steps ahead when it comes to modifications.

Why don't you do the basics first and then see where you want to go. If you search here, you'll see that the EP3 motor will only get you so far if you go 'all motor'.

Sure, you can make it run as fast as an RSX-S, but do you really want to drop that much money on it?
