Default 1992-1995 cx vs. vx

Can anyone point me to some factual information on the difference between the cx and vx? is it just the transmission for the gearing? It's hard to find a stock vx and i am really wanting to know what it would take to get the cx to the vx 50+mpg levels. Thanks for any and all input. And if anyone knows of a vx forsale, please let me know, thanks.

Both cars use the same transmission. The CX had a D15B8 non-VTEC motor and the VX has a D15Z1 VTEC-e motor. The CX also doesn't have any sound deadening. These are the only differences that I know of, but I'm sure theres a few more.

The engine is diff but you can't just stick a vx engine into a cx. You would have to change wire harness, ECU. Also the vx had lightweight alum wheels, CX had steel. Clusters are different. few other minor differences in the two models.

Air bags are the same, 92-3 has only driver bag, 94-5 added the passenger side.

The miserly VX weighs the lightest with a 2,094-lb curb weight, with the CX not far behind at 2,108 lbs, but the vx is signaficantly more fuel efficient.....
