99 civic si/ex brake conversion help

Default 99 civic si/ex brake conversion help

if been looking all over hondatech for this swap and cant find the answers im looking for. i want to do the 99 civic si or ex front brake swap on my 89 civic si with a b16a but i dont know what parts to use.
What axles do i put?
What brake lines?
What do i buy?
Where do i start?
What problems may i encounter?
Will the swap give problems if i install the HX rims?
i want to do this swap to have a little more stopping power if anyone can help thatll be nice or just give me a link to where i can find these answers

I don't think you can use the 99 Suspension.

You can use the 99Si/Ex brake components (i.e. Rotors, calipers, caliper brackets, pads) but not the knuckles. You can however slap the brake components on 90-93 Integra Knuckles, or 90-91 Civic EX knuckles.

Thanks for clarify for me in my mind suspension = knuckles but that is not always the case for others. I should have been more specific.

No problem at all Todd!

For the OP, as far as brake lines you can still go with the 90-91 CRX Si Brake Lines. No need to change the axles either.

As far as clearing the HX brakes, not too sure if they will but they do clear most 14" rims.

on my 00 si i ran 14" steelies and they clear my brakes fine. steelies were off a 99 ex if that makes a difference.
