Do you have emissions laws where yuou live that require a yearly emissions test where they plug up a scan tool and check for engine codes?
If so then you cannot pass emissions with a jumper harness and JDm P73 ECU because the JDM P73 ECU will not communicate with OBD2 scan tools at all. In fact, and I don't care what anyone says this is fact, the JDM P73 ECU has OBD2A plugs but in FACT runs an OBD1 program that only looks for one oxygen sensor, does not search for evap inputs, does not look for a CKF sensor, and does not throw codes for catalyst efficiency low codes.
If you have to pass BD2 scan emissions then you're in a really shitty position.
Ideally you could get a 00-01 Integra Type R P73 ECU, USDM, but they have that bullshit immobilizer key/igntion crap built in, so you cannot use them.
I guess we need to know if you need to pass an emissions test where they scan the codes...

That won't help him because:
a. If it's a 97-98 ECu then it'll be exactly the same plug type that he already has
or
b. Even if the plugs match (00-01 type) it won't alllow his car to start due to the built in immobilizer crap

Well if you don't care about it being legal then by all means buy a jumper harness that allows your JDM OBD2A P73 ECu to plug into your OBD2B car, and be done.
