Default my RPM gauge on cluster is on crack

I just did a obd2a 96-97 SPEC ITR swap onto my obd2b 2000 GSR and everything is working fine until every time i hit vtec the rpm gauge on the cluster starts to spin clockwise & sometimes counter clockwise real fast and it happens every gear until i let off the gas and disengage out of vtec.

anyone got a clue on this one? is there a secret wiring/ground i have to mess with on the harness?

EDIT:
ground the blue wire on chassis harness near master cylinder to the distributor wire.

A lot of non-ITR posts lately..
The needle goes around clockwise really fast because of the mad Vtack.
Either way it sounds like you are cuttting a lot of corners with your "B18C-R" swap(whatever that is). Take a step back and go over eveything...

Your description really isn't that helpful. Are you saying the RPM's jump? if so this can be related to tranny ground and the dizzy. I had issues with my distributor like this a while back. Search for some threads I started about it.

Mad Vtack is usually the source of all my problems. I find harmonious Vtack to be the best.

yeah its true...
did this whole problem start when you hit the ultimate MADD 3rd gear VTAKKyo? because thats what happened to me.
seriously im kidding. i had the same problem in my ITR with OBD2a jumper. it was my distributor first. my car wiring itself second. and my jumperharness from kingmotorsports third. check your wiring on the car itself. there are a few important grounds you should check that people with hella VTECHHHHH often slice up for the VTAK_AFC installs etc. also if you did a cluster swap recently. make sure its the right year.

my cluster is still the same one it came with original car, but i was planning on running the 96-97 JDM itr cluster within these few days, but I'm going to swap out distributors see if it helps.

thats tight. its because of the JDM vtec, your USDM integra cant take it and it just goes crazy!

ITR vtec is 100% better than GSR vtec

Why do you always post in the ITR forum? This is for ITR CARS, not ITR swapped cars.

thanks, but i think problem is solved. It needs to be grounded from the distributor to the chassis harness.

What ground are you refering too? One of the pins on the harness? Or are you grounding the head/dizzy to the chassis?
