Default '90 accord block into '95

Ok my wife drove a '95 accord this past summer it was a reliable car for a good 9 years it ran low on oil and ended up spinning a rod and cracking a sleeve my friend has a block from his '90 accord and I was wondering if the block would bolt into the '95 I don't care if the vtec works or not, I want to know what parts I need to use head gasket, timing belt, mounts? I did a search but I'm not up to accord lingo all I work on are civics and integras accords and ludes are a whole diffrent world for me. thanks

as long as none of the cars are v6 it should work, the actual block will bolt into the newer accord.

The engine will bolt right up no special mounts required.

I'm going to assume that you have a 95 Accord EX with VTEC. If you are replacing it with an 90 Non VTEC F22A1 you may want to find a non VTEC ECU. If you don't your VTEC ECU will through a CEL. You may also want to keep all the OBD1 sensors and plugs from your current F22B1 and put them on the 1990 F22A1 (OBD0).
