Ok from the begining. When i purchased my honda civic I noticed that only the rear speakers were working. I didnt pay it any attention because it sounded alright anyway. ok so I purchased a dvd player and installed it in the 97 civic. When I play movies or just regular audio cd's there is no sound coming from either the front nor the back speakers.......Wait.....Theres more!!!! I installed it in my friends accord and the sound works perfectly. I have no friggin idea what has gone wrong....someone point me in a direction please please please.....with a cherry ontop..... soon...I'll be waiting.

 

Did you by any chance try the sound/audio/alarm forum?

 

i had that prob with my alpine unit to, what kind is yours? well anyway i hooked mine up and everything, and going to test it out with the cd/dvd i wasn't getting any sound, but switch to the radio i got sound. then i noticed one of the remote wires was not connected, see with most dvd units theres 2 remote wire, i thought only one had to be connected, but both did, so maybe go through the wiring one more time and see if you missed anything. or if you want post a pic on the wiring job so i might be able to help better
