Default Internal Radio Antenna

Hey guys/gals.. i shaved my external antenna and took it out due to the fact that it couldn't pick up signal any more... it was done! lol. I'm looking for a smaller (spiral type) antenna that i cant stick onto the inside of my rear quarter glass. Anyone know where i can find one? i'm having trouble... any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

Just stick one of these in the dash somewhere... It'll work fairly well...

fcm... Those are nice, but still kinda ugly... But will agree work quite well for the most part, did some on some classic cars that had no antenna. But the old fart still wanted his AM Baseball and Football...

My .02 cents. I shaved my antenna on my DA integra and then had the factory power antenna still hokked up and had it mounted behind the plastic and extending down the pillar when I would switch to radio. Worked awesome, but not very par in tunnels...

So are you saying that none of these aftermarket antennas will work for AM?

I want to listen to my PHX Suns games and currently have it the way you said but I still cant get a decent signal.

Yeah AM wasn't the greatest when having the Antenna going up the pillar. The one FCM recommended was amplified and worked well for AM. Like I said the old dudes with the classic cars liked that antenna for the NPR and games on AM...

I will be installing it or the Hirschmann one on my 94LS, [after body repair, paint and a boosted LS motor this winter] the Scosche one is a little ugly, but you can't see it from outside of the car when mounted up high on hatch glass. 94

LoL sorry fcm... Sorry man... "Sonny" I had to giggle. But that antenna he recommends are nice... The ones that are like a sticker strip antenna that I think Metra makes was junk!

My favorite recommendation was one marketed by Metra in the '90s. I was turned on to it by a classic car guy when I had a problem with customer's audi getting am radio after the new radio was put in. It was a an internal ant that was 1"x1"x4" and amplified. It worked fantastic. it was small enough to mount in the window and you would'nt notice it.

I would check with custom car builders/classic car guys. I tried to find it on occasion to no avail.
