about to purchase used koni yellow +ground control coilovers
Hey all im about to get my friends gcc+koni yellows. They are made to fit the 96-00ek so im pretty sure they are good for the em1. Anyways he wants to sell to me for 400$, they have like 30000 miles on them or so. Good deal?
I don't know about the deal as I am not up to date on the used parts market, but as far as fitment, they will indeed work on an EM1.

Sounds like a great deal. What spring rates are the GC's?
I paid about $850 total for my GC/Koni setup (a few years ago), and I still have the Konis with 150,000 miles on them and they're still working great.

Koni warranty only applies to the original purchaser of the shocks, and can't be transferred. You might want to check with Koni North America or pm CRX Lee on here to verify.

I believe the sp3's also carry a lifetime warranty.
The race valved units however do not.

Correct.
The "Neuspeed SP3" Koni 8041-Sport carries the same lifetime warranty as the standard 8041-Sport.
The Koni 8041-Race with the SPSS3 valving and shortened body does not.

There are several different dampers produced by Koni that come painted yellow, including the 8041 and the 3011. The one that most people refer to as the "Koni yellow" is the 8041-Sport.
As far as the warranty goes, AFAIK it only applies to the original purchaser as mentioned.
