INFO on that turbo:

Best for:

Horsepower 250 - 360
Displacement 1.8L - 3.0L

Ball bearing
* Oil & Water-cooled bearing system
* Upgrade turbocharger for GT2554R (471171-3) and GT2560R (466541-1); turbine housing flanges are outline interchangeable
* T25 turbine inlet flange
* Great size for applications w/ packaging constraints
*

Ideal for smaller displacement engines making up to 360 hp
* Turbine Housing option available

I've heard good things about that turbo, should be able to handle 310whp no prob, dunno about 330whp, kinda pushing it

well thats the same turbo thats on the edelbrock kit, on the carb legal kit at i think 7lbs on a stock gsr its putting out 250 whp. the track kit on 15-18 lbs it says you should be able to support 300-400 whp (but thats with building the motor)

so sounds like it should fit what youre looking for

I'm about to finish my build within the next couple of weeks. I was also shooting for 300-350 whp. I was going to get the gt28rs but after reasearching I decided to go with the gt2871r. It will give me a bit more room to grow in the future. I was willing to trade off some spool time for a bit more topend.

its a great turbo will spool fast and be a stop light killer but you should get the bigger a.r and you will not have to make the turbo work as hard if you make your set up more efficient as in head work or cams and such

It's not just about a housing, it only shifts the output slightly. For a b16, yes the Disco Potato. For a GS-R, I'd use the GT2871R or the GT3255b

yeah i know changing the aspect ratio of the housing from .63 to .83 wont net you anything crazy, but that little bit is worth the improvement IMO because its a little on the small side. The GT3255BB being a better choice overall. Spools quick, makes decent power, great powerband.

It's a fantastic street-turbo for a stock motor.

I had one with the .82 a/r T3 ATP housing, I'd recommend the same.

a) Allows for easier integration with the rest of your turbo system, and gives you the ability to grow with a future setup while not having to change your manifold (if you went with the .63 T25 housing.

b) I truly feel the .82 a/r is much better matched with a B18C. But as Mac said, maybe look into the 2871r as well.

Far too small in my opinion. Especially on a stock engine.

wussup Justin! GT3076R! nah J/K! Go with what you want and what you can afford. Wish I could have given you a ride in my friends GT28 powered Civic before he crashed it.

This year i ran the gt28rs with the ATP t3 housing with the .82 a/r on my stock gsr with blox manifold/65mm TB. At 10psi i ran 12.0 at 120 on street tires. Most amazing turbo setup i have had yet. I am amazed every time i drive the car. You will not be upset with the gt28rs. If you have any questions just hit me up.

Go for the .63AR man, you will love it.

For your power goals, why not just go with a t3to4e 57trim, 63AR turbo? Spools FAIRLY quick, and sure is fun for the street! Yet, its cheaper!

My old setup made 330whp/250tq.

Bone-Stock GSR, Stock IM, Full-Race Stage 1GT Kit.

Car was going 12.4-12.6's in a full-weight DC2 on 22" slicks.

I really do miss that setup
