Hello,

Please help me, I have a 91 rex si, leaking raditior cap, but when I drive it heats up to normal temp the moves to hot pretty soon after that. And it moves real fast. When I turn on my interior fan it goes bak down to normal fast!!!!!!!!!!

x2, let the car run and get up to temp and check the temp of the lower hose with your hand just to see if it's as hot as the top hose. If the lower hose is cooler when you car is running hot then your thermostat is likely bad

The fan blows the hot air out of the engine bay and into your cabin, thats why it helps the temp. It prob goes down when you drive fast enough too. I used to have a chevy nova that did that. It needed a new radiator and or rad fans. When it hot enough it would dump all its coolant out, and when it got too hot it would die. It didn't seize though, the engine must have been designed not to run when it's too hot, in order to prevent it from locking. I don't know if the heat ever warped the block/head because I got rid of it soon after. I hear it ran for a pretty long time though, the new owner just replaced the radiator stuff...
