Default crx d16 w/ 65 wet shot videos inside

These are some videos of me racing my sohc crx. I raced a twin turbo nsx and had him 2/3's track but 700hp vs 180hp isnt really a race. I raced a evo lancer with a exhaust, carbon fiber hood and some other mods and won. I also raced a 5.0 5sp. mustang and won. My final race was against a turbo b18 non vtec civic 4 door and I was spaking him but the d had other ideas and threw a rod! It was fixed with a new motor a week later in time for the next set of races at which I ran it NA. My best time with nitrous was 8.98 in the 1/8th NA it was 9.69 in the 1/8th and with the new motor I got 9.68 in the 1/8th. check out my videos

What kind of 60-fts are you pulling?

What tires are you using? And why the multiple burnouts at the starting line?

1/8th mile racing is fun

At that point I did have a E-brake so I was doing reverse to first burnouts. IMO I have shitty 60ft.best being a 2.1 something with drag radials. The tires are bfg drag radials. The car is pretty my stock it has lowering springs and kyb replacement struts i/h/e nothing internal.

Traction bars and slicks are your friends.

Your car is silly fast! Any idea how much traction bars will drop my 60ft times? Where do you get a good set of slicks for a decent price? I have 15in rota subzero's that are real light, any slicks that would work on them?

Thanks

With slicks only we got the 60-ft down to the low 1.9 range. With the traction bars we were in the low 1.7s.

The car has M&H 24.5x8.5x15 inch slicks on factory 15x6.5 Si wheels running around 9 psi of air pressure. Your rotas will work fine as long as you get extended wheel studs and possibly have to run wheel spacers. The inside of the slicks would hit the spindle without the spacers on the factory Si wheels, I'm not sure of the offset on the Rotas.

do you think these would be good for n/a? http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs...34_-1
I want to do vitaras and eagle rods but not boost it right away and from what i've read tall slicks are good for turbo but could slow you down n/a. I want a turbo bad but the $$$ and tuning are slowing me down mostly the tuning. I'm sure I could piece together a turbo kit for a decent price but in Michigan there is only 2 tuners that I know of and they are easily 500miles away. So driving the car to the nearest tuner isnt going to happen and thats a long way to tow. Also what do you think of the etd traction bars on ebay? They look ok and are a decnt price. check these out and let me know what you think.

One of the reasons for the taller slicks is to help with gearing.

In the 1/8th mile mark the car is already in 4th gear, and the other 1/8th gets it right to the top of 4th gear at 120mph.

A good size for your setup right now would be 22x8x15s. I was running that size when my car was in the 230 whp range, my best 60-ft was a 1.89 with just those slicks and a stock suspension. And with that size you don't have to run wheel studs or wheel spacers.

Those traction bars are nice, I might have to get a set for my new EF I just bought. Do they come with a provision for the front tranny mount?
