swapped a b20 into my 93 hatchy but it doesnt let me pass 4k brothers a mechanic and cant figure out wats goin on anyone have any suggestions??thx in advanced

better yet, what ecu are you using? Any cels?

Sounds like the ecu is in Limp mode.

I actually just bought a b20 long block using my old gsr trans but dont have a car to put the motor in yet. do you need a different harness for a EG and what ecu can u run?

 

well im using the stock single cam harness but have a chipped ecu that a friend tuned but even then it wouldnt pass 4k rpms sorry for responding so late but im at work lol only source of internet is gift shop lol its a chipped gsr ecu my brother had i still have p28 and my brother has another gsr ecu im able to use thx in advanced

 

id say you need a new ecu. if im not wrong your ecu is still for a sohc motor, you need one for dohc

 

check engine light? it wont let you rev passed that while driving or just in neutral?

 

have you tried to pull any cel's?

 

yeah, you need a dohc ecu.
