Hey everyone,
I just bought me an 97' Acura Integra, and at around 4 rpms or less, the engine will make a off beat ticking noise, and sounds like its comming from the engine itself, but I have no idea what could be causing it. A friend told me it is most likly the timing belt. Anyone know if that is what it could be? Cause I dont want to take it to a garage and have to pay alot just for them to look at it. I appreciate any help!

did you fix this? This could most deff be the problem.

You better fix that hood before it rust to hell.

 

If it's only a ticking noise, you might just need a valve adjustment.

Other things to check: Engine Mounts, Exhaust B-Pipe, Heat Shields, timing belt/tensioner, and any loose bolts.

Try and get a better idea of where exactly the noise is coming from, use a flathead screwdriver as a stethoscope if need be.
