Default your suggestions to clean up combustion chamber/piston carbon

without destroying anything, of course. i got most of it off with engine degreaser and a soft bristle brush, but some of it just won't budge. any suggestions?

Don't kill yourself over getting that crap off. It's not gonna make a huge difference.

You could use a piece of emory cloth, just make sure it is +1000 grit if it is gonna come in contact with any sealing surfaces.

Yeah man, honestly, they're nice for pictures and all, but all that work is goin down the ******* soon anyways after you put some miles on it.

Just get the major stuff out and anything that looks like it could potentially break off and be loose in there.

Carb cleaner is the best stuff I've seen. B12 chemtool works as much as twice as well as regular carb cleaner.

If you're not in a hurry then you can use 100% antifreeze. It won't rust anything and i've noticed that it loosens up the carbon build up. Otherwise kerosene or carb cleaner with a small brass wire brush.
