Default ctr sway bar question

Just had a quick question...posted this in the suspension forum, but no response. Basically, i was just wondering if i can use ctr endlinks with ctr 22mm sway bar on stock 97 hx coupe lca's. Any info greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can. You'll need some form of subframe reenforcement though (to prevent tear-out).

thanks for the quick response. Current setup is ctr 22mm swaybar with rcrew (comptech copy) brace.

Also, i was going to do an experiment...how do you think a 97 hx coupe with this setup will feel like compared to a simple strut/coilover suspension?

It'll feel like it has a rear swaybar.

HX = 24mm front sway

Add 22mm rear, and you've got a very sold, middle-weighted feel.

i thought the same thing. Thats weird...so leaving it stock height would be fine then? I mean, there wouldn't be any other benefits from a tuned suspension for DD other than is sharp soloming right? So, unless you drive like an a-hole on the road, you would only really reep all the benefits of having the swaybar and a tuned suspension then. (correct me if im wrong). I know i should keep this type of topic in the suspension forum, but that forum is really dead right now and i need some advice. PRONTO

There are benefits to buying springs/shocks or a monotube coil setup past it 'looking good.' Lower center of gravity and an increased spring and dampening rate also aide greatly in handling.

i take back what i said. With all that considered, someone who want to just put on a sway bar could easily enjoy it as much as someone with a tuned suspension could, right? Sorry if this is redundant.

I wouldn't say 'as much' .... but you would notice a positive change.

Im going to do a write up for people who choose to run the swaybar with and without a tuned suspension. I just wanted to get some input. But from what you've been posting, i think i have all the info i need. hahah. Saved me a whole day of testing...

I will say this -- I'm really not sure at all why you're running such an exaggerated swaybar setup when you're not doing any other sort of suspension tuning.

Spring rates, ride height, and tires are very important things.

No, this isn't for me. For those who just want to run the ctr sway bar with stock suspension. My current setup is koni yellows/ and ground controle. As for the tires, i just have the the stock si wheels and basic khumo ecstas.
Im using the sway bar and stock lca and was just curious..thats it
