I was just wonder how to remove the shift **** on my 92 gsr
i heard its screw off but im not sure, i dont want to wreck anything, i did try twisting it but it wouldnt budge, if someone could tell me how that woudl be great

the first time taking it off it seems like it's not supposed to twist off but it does, just don't jerk it around or bend it.

 

if its a twist off though, if i get it off then put it back on later, will it not line up properly? as in the shifter wont face perfectly forawrd again

just make it line up.. just don't overtighten.. it can go pretty deep.. some aftermarket ones have a point where it'll stop when lined up just right
