How much do you have to take out of the crossmember to make this fit ? I m trying now and it looks like you would have to take alot out of the crossmember to make it fit but I was told you just have to cut that pinch weld looking part off to get it in there.

yea i saw that. However they are supposedly going to send him a new one. This car isnt a daily and im sure its going to make more power than my DC ceramic would.
I dont think you are going to find many people dumb enough to cut their crossmember. i think your only option is buying a traction bar
and some new mounts

Youre not really cutting it.....youre just notching it a little bit. Not really a big deal.

I think taking an angle grinder or similar object and slicing into your frame constitutes cutting it. I'd like to see where you're getting your reasoning that it's "Not really a big deal."
Why isn't it? Because you know what you're talking about or you and your friends have done it before without a problem?
I'd like to see someone take a big notch out of the front crossmember, track a car for a year on it, and see if they still align straight.

I have an extra front crossmember I can sell you if you do this and it cracks!
If you just need to take small notch out say the size of a half dollar I think that you could get away with it if its done right.

i used a dremil on mine too notch the front cross member, i also removed the front motor mount, and got rid of the sub frame cross member alltogether
i was worried about the front cross member not being stiff enough where i cut so i re welded that shop of 3-4in. im perty sure the welds i did are stronger than the oem ones.
i havent had a problem w mine but i also got one fairly early before all the problems started. and the ground clearence on mine is not bad at all.

thats news to me. all i've heard is pay to send it back and then if they decide it was their fault they'll send out a new one. then I get to pay my welder to weld another flexpipe on it. yay!
