I just bought a 94 civic 2dr, and im wondering what should i buy first and where can i buy it. It currently has a vtec single cam engine. It needs a new hood, and a paint job. I live in the Westchester NY area, anyone know of a good after market store? or a place to get a nice paint job?

welcome to H-T
if you're rollin in a single cam, the only hopes to make power (cheaply) is boost. do some research, and get some turbo knowledge before you slap it on. other than that, i recomend a motor swap (again, do more research).
first of all, i'd recomend some suspension, and security mod's, and some wheels to make ur new ride look pretty.
good luck, man.

I swear this thread comes up way too many times in a day, no hour. Just on this first page of threads I see at least 5 nonsense posts just like this. Please take the time to read these

If you don't see what you need in any of those (this is where the research comes in) or from searching then I can see making a post.
Good luck with the car

b16a2, eh? good motor
b16 is a much better platform to start modding instead of your single cam.
you'll enjoy it
btw, looks like batman threw up on your hood. since its trashed i'd say sand it down, and spray paint it black (thats just what i'd do, i wouldnt recomend it though)

Suspension first.
Of any mod ive done, the suspension was the most significant. When your car is lowered, stiffer, and handles much tighter, its like driving a whole different car.

You should find an old book called Civic Duty. It gives you a really good theory on how to tune a civic. It really applies to any car though, Get it rolling right (wheels, tires, suspension). Then get power (thousands of ways to do this). Then move onto your interior, and then lastly worry about how your car looks.
