so i brought my car for a valve adjustment this week because my 01 integra was ticking . A couple hours past by and my car was ready they told me it was not the valve and it was safe o drive around . i was like expletive yeah it all good then a week i drove it and my car was ticking like i had stage 2 cams !! Then i brought it back and told them what happen and if it was covered by the warranty. Today i spoke to them and said that there not going to warranty my integra because i got a modified exhaust but it was always there when i got an oil change and when i did my other couple of valve adjustment there . Now i might i have to pay 1300 bucks out my pocket. I dont have that kind of money, is it the dealer fault ???? what can i use against them for ******* up my ride !!!

 

Who installed the cams and exaust? If the dealer did either of the two then I'd put them at fault in this situation.

 

I WORK FOR A CHEVY DEALER IN THE SERVICE DEPT. BRO AND USUALLY IF A CAR HAS AFTERMARKET PARTS WE DONT WARRANTY ANYTHING THAT HAS FAILED THAT COULD BE DUE TO THIS SORT OF THING...WAT WE TELL THE CUSTOMERS IS TO GO HOME AND PUT THE CAR BACK TO STOCK AND THEN BRING IT BACK...WE TRY TO HELP OUR CUSTOMERS...BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE THESE GUY ARE DICKS...SO MY BEST ADVISE TO U IS TO SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER AND SEE WAT HE SAYS...IF HE DOESNT HELP THEN I SAY GO HOME TAKE OFF THE HEADER AND TAKE IT TO ANOTHER DEALER...THE DEALEERS ARE NOT LINKED TO EACHOTHER IF THEY HAVNT DONE WARRANTY WORK SO U DONT HAVE TO WORRY BOUT THE OTHER DEALER KNOWING UNLESS THEY MADE A WARRANTY REPORT ON THE HEADER WHICH IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY...

 

Be nice and stay calm with them. It's really up to them if they want to dick you or not. Play it cool and their more likely to take care of you.
At this point, what are they saying is wrong with it?
