Default 07 Civic SI seats in 89 CRX SI

Is this even possible? I found a great deal on some 07 civic si seats...and if it is possible to get them in my CRX without a huge deal of headaches I am going to grab them.

Any idea if they will physically fit in the car?

What brackets did you use/ how did you get them to fit?

You're gonna have to make your own brackets, weld some stuff and tap your own holes.

The newer seats are taller, thicker, and wider. It will feel like you're riding in a kid's booster seat....

I won't be able to get them close enough to the floor with custom brackets?

I measured some new si seats and they really are not much bigger than the crx seats.

Bump because I'm curious too. I just test drove a 08 Civic Si Sedan over the weekend and man I fell in love with the car.

But I will never let go of my REX!!

I took many measurements on them and came to the conclusion that even if I got them to almost sit on the floor they would be too tall. Instead I found some near mint (one tear) CRX si seats and fixed the tear and the torn foam and put them in my car.

What they looked like when I got them. Also, the foam on the lower portions had tears in them. I took all the covers off, rebuilt/ fixed the foam using my existing seats, fixed the tear by taking the whole side bolster off of one of my existing seats and having the wife sew it on.

After.

slammin:

They might fit but, I noticed when I installed my recaros, any seats with side bolsters will be a tight fit. Mine hit my door a little. I have to move the seat over a little closer to the center console. I used my stock sliders and made my own custom brackets. GL

BTW 06-08 SI seats are the most confterable seats I've ever sat in (Recaros/Brides/Sparcos/Mugen's).
