Ok so recently dropped a b16 in my crx. The day i dropped it in it seemed to run real good, no problems. When we first started it i put it in gear, while on jackstands, to see if everything was ok and it seemed good. Now i would be drving it and give is some gas to go like in second or on the parkway and would be redlining at like 7.5k. I know for a fact thats not the computers redline but i let that go. So recently I noticed the check engine light and radio would go off and come back on but the radio would lose the memory. It seems like its running the same and even goes past 8k every once in a while, actually has been goin past that for the past week. What is causing all this, please help its driving me crazy.

 

I'm almost 101% sure it's one of ur grounds, from the sounds of it probly ur ecu ground, double and tripple check all of ur grounds and that they are TIGHT.

 

YEA boi i found my problem. MY intake was hitting the positive side battery and hitting the hood at the same time lol so it was grounding that **** out.

 

You should be grateful it didn't burn your car to the ground.

yea i agree absolutely. I just changed the hood and this one i guess just fit better and lower. Im fixing this tommrow.
