They should re interview them since NOPI's schedule has been released. I think it would be interesting. The benefits that everyone was hoping for with 1 major series are all out the door because now there HAS to be 2 series....

I am sure Battle will jump on the west coast swing since Nopi could not swing it. And it always seems like SCDA is always bring up battle and how they are going to come out with a good deal. See how long that last when the moneys not there. What seemed like a good thing two major series combining to one, now all of a sudden theres a new contender that getting talked up a lot more then ever before, is it Hope or Hype only time will tell. A good freind of mine who raced since the early 90's and ran pro 4 before he was retired by GM, told me last week can't you see sport compact raicng is dead, and whats left is getting picked apart. Sure hope hes not right.

 

i just wanna know what size freaking turbo i have to plan for?

 

sucks that it takes something like this to happen for other sanctioning bodies to step up their game...(battle/idrc)

I am pretty sure it is going to be devided almost better now. I mean we have 2 NOPI races on the West, but it's a East Dominated series. There is no way they can do a reasonable points series for the West to compete with the east. 2 races to win a west coast championship.
BOTI, will take care of the West Coast guys and hopefully give us our own points series and maybe a 6-8 race deal. If that's the Case then 8-10 races is more than enough for us sportsman racers who pay for all the traveling and parts out of our pockets. Gives us time to fix our cars and save up for the next race.

Just hope there will be a BOTI in the midwest so East/West can compete. Since Nopi was able to work a deal with any of the tracks in that area.

Battle/IDRC, was for the most part local/Regional events. This just opened the door for them to go big and test the waters what it's going to be like. Now that all the Pro Teams, and sportsman people in the West almost have no other choice than to Race BOTI now since they have always taken care of the West Coast Racers.

LOL I have never been to a BOTI. I personally loved NHRA, I guess I am somewhat biased since they handed out wally's and now s/c is no longer getting them anywhere.......hopefully for now.

stuck with IFO? Why as a competitor would you care about other classes? I think you would have a better "motion" if more events were attended whether IFO, NHRA or Nopi
