TrueChoice, or Koni can do them. Not sure of the price.

You don't want to shorten them that much either. Get the GC upper strut mounts. Same end result, and less expensive.

I have Truechoice Phase-4 Koni's on my Integra. They're 20mm shorter than normal.

I use the ground control front top hats and would like to shorten the fronts another 10mm.

If a product needs to be "modified" to work in a certain application, then shouldn't you question some things??

Not necessarily....

Koni produces two different dampers for the same car..
one is the street version, the 2nd is the RACE SPSS3 (which is shortened and revalved)

The only thing I wish these Koni's had over a true coil-over is separate ride height and preload like my Penske motorcycle shocks.

Sure, and the answer is, the Koni sports were designed as a stock replacement. Damper length is same as stock. The Koni RACE units or the sports that have been shortened afterwards are more specifically tailored to cars that have been lowered.

Let me stress this again, you do not want to shorten damper length/increase shock travel by more then 25mm from stock. If you do, you will then have to use packers for your bumpstops to get the bumpstops back into a working range. That, or you turn your control arms/strut tower into bumpstops. Steel on steel doesn't make for a great bumpstop.

dont get me wrong I think the konis are amazing on the track. Just looking for extra travel for hillclimb situations, and it looks like extended tophats are the go for a simple solution, will make some up this week. Dont know if I am too keen on the fork mod trick though.

alot better than some JDM junk, If I didnt run koni I would run Pic performance

AFAIK, all of their lineup uses linear valving and has issues with shock fade and crosstalk in the adjusters.

1) whats "AFAIK" mean

2) Tein having shock fade is news to me, who claims they do?

3) what is crosstalk?

1. As Far As I Know

2. Everyone who has taken them through multiple sweeps on a shock dyno. This is something common with most of the japanese brands, like JIC, etc. Along with that horrible linear valving.

3. Crosstalk is when an adjuster that is supposed to control on rebound, has an effect on compression, or vice versa. In a lot of brands like Tein, the crosstalk can be downright ridiculous.

8041 race shocks are 25mm shorter in the front and 15mm shorter in the back, this is the 94-01 integra application (same as civic 92-95 probably)

I must say that I lost all respect for the little green spring/shock company after seeing magazine adds with *track* cars being suspended by scissor jacks. Unbelievable!

If by similar you mean not at all. 50 mm is ALOT to cut off the shock. You will likely only have 1.5" of useable stroke.
