Default Dumb Quick Question about ACL Bearings

Good Morning, or whatever time you're reading this!

I'm going through an engine build right now, figured I'd go low compression pistons for boost on down the road.

My question is, while I have the crank out, though the old OEM Honda bearings on my B18C are pristine, should I go with ACL replacements?

The next question is, B16A and B18C bearings would be different amongst the ACL options, right?

I've got a guy from ebay that doesn't know **** trying to tell me I'm wrong here, and I wanted to be sure I wasn't before I went elsewhere.

Thanks!

The ACL's are a cheaper option then using OEM bearings. Some people swear by ACL's while others use only OEM bearings. IMO if your clearences are within spec either bearing choice would be fine.

I believe the ACL's are equivalent to honda green's. If these clearences fall into spec with your motor I say go for it.

Here is a link showing bearing thickness by oem color. Greens are what the ACL's are equivalent to.

ACL or OEM to your first question.

Yes to your second question.

Same part number for main bearings. Rod bearings share different part number.
