Default Plate Lights Question

I have to remove a dent on the rear of my lude about 100mm from the Honda Badge. I need to remove the plate lights temporarily to push out the dent from the inside. Just wanted to know if having the lights disconnected will light up a blown bulb light on the dash. I am very busy at moment and so that is why i will do the job in stages. I just dont want to be driving at night with a red dash light shinning in my eyes.

I think you can survive the red light on the dash for a few days.

Looks like i will have to. Good to know that the lights are part of the blown bulb setup, my last prelude 1984 model only put on the dash light if any of the brake bulbs blew. Thanks for letting me know man
