Replacing ball joint removing from arm
I have searched how to do this but only come up with removal of the thread side. Has anyone replaced theirs and if so any problems? I have a feeling the ball joint is chemically bonded to the arm so I was going to heat the arm. Any suggestions?

You need to press it out and press new one in. I did my whole suspension and took the arms to a shop to have them do the press work.

I just recently did the same thing.
I used a 17mm deep socket over the end of the balljoint and used a hammer to beat the old ones out.
To put the new ones in I put the ball joints (without boots) in the freezer for about an hour. I then heated the knuckles with a torch. I put the balljoint into the hold and got it started. Then I used a 36 mm axle socket and a c clamp to put it in. I got the first one about 7/8 of the way in then it wouldn't budge anymore. I tried a hammer after this. Nothing.
I finally got pissed and gave up.
GOOD LUCK

I did this last weekend, replaced a left lower and a right upper. For the lower though, i did the exact same as this guy for the removal. And just tapped it with a hammer to get the new ones in. It was really easy for me. Which surprised me, because everything in my friggen car is always 10 times tighter then what it should be factory torqued to for some reason.

i replaced mine about 2 weeks ago, all i used way 2 screwdrivers, 1 hammer, a vice and an impact hammer. took about 10 minutes to replace the balljoint once the knuckle was off.
hammer is going to be your best friend in the install. mine only went about half way in with the cold joint and hot knuckle.so I got a 1x2inch piece of wood place the end on top of the joint and start hammering on top of that. took a few hits but went in great
