Default Radiator/Cooling Fan Won't Turn On

In noobspeak: There's power coming to the fuse box under the hood, but unsure if power is going from that to the relay and on to the fans. First order of business is to check the relay and see if that's bad. Anyone have other suggestions of what I should check first? My dad's helping with this project and swears now my thermostat is fine.

The fans are controled by the thermo sensor located at the bottom of the radiator
on the left side.Simple test to see if the fans work is to disconnect the connector and short the two wire together, turn the key on and the fan should run.If the fan works replace the sensor.
