Default What do you think of this suspension setup?

Tein S Techs with KYB AGX Shocks?
For a 1998 Honda Prelude
Im looking for a smooth ride with a decent drop, my current setup, ever damn bump or crack I hit makes my car jerk and shake like a mother f******.

Also, I know my current struts are bad, but it seems that the KYB AGX Shocks come with struts?

yea I really dont know that much about suspension, i just want good handling, a smooth ride, and be able to get the car aligned without having to go somewhere special!

Also Do i need to buy a camber kit with this setup? My current setup all of my wheels are more worn on the inside.

Thanks,

Jon

s-techs with agx's will be fine

do you always get a alignment after lowering your car? an alignment is needed after any suspension fix/upgrade. From shocks/springs, upper control arms, front lca's etc....As for a camber kit, there's a lot of debate on getting one and not getting one. IMO i say purchase a front camber kit, the rear can be fixed with the washer trick.

You do not need a camber kit. Do not waste your money on it, or the extra cost of having the camber adjusted during the alignment. A typical 4-wheel alignment is like $50-$60, but if they have to deal with a camber kit, it'll be like $100. It's not needed and not worth it. Just get the toe adjusted to stock specs. Also rotate your tires front-to-rear every 5K miles or so and you shouldn't have any major tire wear issues.

Also your car has shocks. It does not have struts. You will be buying 4 KYB AGX shock absorbers. No struts.

Should be fine. It's a mild setup and those two work well together.

Your car has shocks, not struts. I prefer the term "damper" because it covers both types and causes less confusion.

No.

When you install the new springs and dampers, get 4 new tires and then IMMEDIATELY get the car on an alignment rack and have them set the toe to the center of the factory spec tolerance range. Ignore the camber, and don't let them talk you into buying any camber kit parts.

Don't take the car for an alignment with unevenly worn tires, and don't drive more than a few miles on the new tires without getting it aligned.
