B18a1 Rebuild... Can i run this setup?

Default B18a1 Rebuild... Can i run this setup?

so i spun a bearing on the stock ls bottom i was running vtec and no oil was gettin by but yeah i wanted to know if i can run this setup bearings are going to be replaced by acl bearings (do i have to get bearings to specificaly fit the b16 crank or ls will fit?)
B16a jdm Crank on Gsr Pistons and rods on the B18a1 ?
is machine work required? or it will go
my friends letting me get em from him sorry ima noob at internal work

Use this site and plug in what you just said, see what your compression is and you decide if you would run that setup.

It would technically work but you would be de-stroking the b18a. Buy a new block IMO, it doesn't sound like you are ready to jump into engine building.

A b16 crank has wider bearing surfaces than a B18 on the rod journals.

its not going to work... keep rods and cranks matched.

and ALL B series rod/ crank journals are the same size besides rod with on p72 and p73

B18C=.857 inches

thanks 4 the info i think im jus going to get another ls crank, someone on here told me a once a oem crank is turned its never the same its bad karma? is it true?

Unless the machine shop is super reputable or has millions of $$$ tied up in machines, I wouldn't. Would you want your crank to take a **** because someone ground down a journal too much or machined it out of round on accident? Not me.
