car is missing ?'s fuel pressure or other problem
ok so i have a 95 si with a h22a in it. The car has run fine for 3 years all of the sudden it started missing. I have all ready changed out the plugs, distributor cap rotor button, fuel filter, and air filter.
fuel pressure was kind of high so i turned it down to around 35 vacuum on 42 vacuum off. It was around 40 to 48 before and has been running like that fine for around a year now.
It has the distributor and coil from the si. Thats how its been since i had the motor installed like 3 years ago. Im getting a new set of plug wires soon they are like 3 years old. any clue as to what the problem is before i spend any more money?

Like missing on one cylinder every now and then, or running rough all the time or what? More details!
it all the cylinders i think. it started a month ago started missing once in a while. while driving. Changed a few parts drove fine for a week. did it again. This time it missed so bad it was hardly going. Then few hours later magically cleared up and worked fine for another week. Now when idling it misses like every 10 seconds or so.
It sounds like an electrical issue, but I could be wrong. You might double check your plug wire connections to start with, then maybe check the ignitor and coil and their connections. Do you get any check engine lights?
i changed the plugs 2 weeks ago and then again yesterday. yesterday they had carbon build up on them and a redish tint on the white part.

Inside the distributor, they commonly go out but usually the car won't run without it. It looks like a little black computer part...(also called ICM

yeah i went and checked it the black yellow and green wire had voltage. and the blue and yellow green didn't have any voltage and according to this online guide it says i need a new igniter. that sound about right ?
well, is it all the cylinders misfiring or not? if its only one cylinder its probably a injector if you already replaced everything. if its all of them id check to see if your timing is still on from the cam gears.

It will just sound like a blip in the hum of the engine.
