I want to paint my rims gold, I was wondering, would the first step to be SAND & PRIMER the rims? or what?

There are minor curb marks but no big deal, where should I start?

 

I just painted some lenso wheels. First I cleaned the wheels really good, then sanded with like a 600 grit. Then used alchol to clean them off. make sure the wheel is try. Then spray.

 

i was told sanding is gonna expletive up my wheel, i don't know. any other opinions?

 

how would that work? you're using a relatively fine grit paper so it's not going to leave deep scratches, and the scuffing will get covered by the paint. you can also use a scotchbrite pad to scuff up the wheels

 

great, ill just use this method.

 

be sure to scuff the corners dont want it flaking off
