LS harness.. what the hell is this wire

does this plug onto the canister? I'm doing a JDM itr swap into my 2000 GSR and I'm running a LS harness since i didn't have anything else and i don't know what this extra plug is.

Looks like evap purge control solenoid connector which is usually found @ the top of the intake manifold on obd2 ls motors.

my motor is a obd2a and its a JDM which is never going to pass smog with the mods i have so i don't need that right?
