Default GSR with P30 Piston??

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if it is worth to replace the GSR piston's with P30 piston's in the hopes of getting more power. Does anyone perhaps have a dyno graph from this. Will the power that you should gain be close to that of Type R.

Just basicly wondering if it is worth it??

yes its worth it. theres more than a 1.0:1 bump in compression. your going to make more power but your also going to need a good tune. if your gonna do pistons i reccomend u also get arp rod bolts just for added stability. plus with the p30's youll have more options for cams which will also yeild you more power. just search on here for p30 pistons or ls with p30's and you'll definitly find a ton of stuff. killerpenguin on here is using them and he swears by them. if i were to build an oem setup than i would use the p30's.

Common used piston on many bottom end setups.

is it wise though to take apart a GSR with 80k miles to just put in new rods and pistons. Without a hone

no. You need to do it right otherwise what's the point?

You won't find any before and after dyno's because no one ever just changes pistons. The dyno results would be irrelevant because every motor is put together a little different from each other, different cams, exhaust/headers, porting/no porting...to many variables. Searching will simply show you that lots of people use them in their builds with great success, the rest is up to you.
