that still didnt really answer my question. there was nothing in that thread about a4's. but oh well. i have had people tell me its an sh and also say its a base. so i was just trying to get to the bottom of it. i will just go ahead and keep thinking its a base.
Click it again...It's hard to click on the right FAQ thread since they're all so close together. I swear you'll see anything you'd want to know about the physical differences in the Base and SH A4s.

no i know the stats i was just trying to figure out if my car is sh or base..thats all but thanks, i am going to look through them now that i have some free time.

when you turn your key on to the on position without turning the engine over, do you see an ATTS light? If so, you've got an SH. (I'm 90% sure that this is one way to check) ..

Do you have an ATTS Sticker/Emblem on the rear of the Car?
Do you have the ATTS System?
Do you have the ATTS Transmission?
What model Transmission do you have?
That will tell you if it's a Base or Type SH.
