>> Sorry... another tuneup question <<
So... I'm finally getting a tuneup on my 97 Integra LS which has been sitting in front of my house for about 4 years now. Never started or anything. I work 2 jobs 7 days a week so there is no way I'll be able to do it myself. I called around and found someone that said they would do my tuneup and brake/rotors for $600 out the door. Is this about right?
Here is whats included:
Full Tune-up:
- Fluids (Tranny, Brake, Coolant and Oil)
- Cap/Rotor
- Spark Plugs/Wires
- Fuel/air filter
Brakes:
- Pads/New Rotors
TIA!!

I called around and found someone else that said they would do it for 525 out the door. This has to be the 10th place I called... so 525 is no good?
Of course do-it-yourself is cheaper, but shop labor rates these days are upwards of $70 per hour or more. About all you can do in your spare time between the two jobs is check out prices on the internet for all the parts you need, and then decide if the labor rate is fair. Personally, depending on what parts are used, it doesn't seem too bad. On the plus side, since the car has been sitting 4 years, if there are any problems, you can take it back to the person who did the work and complain.
BTW, Honda plug wires are pretty good. Unless they are dried out, cracked, or oil soaked, I wouldn't replace them, especially with some odd ball aftermarket brand.
