Is a P61 ECU a bad idea to use on a B18C1??
I just put a JDM B18C1 into my EG. I had a B16 before. Is it a bad idea to use a P61 ECU? What can be so bad about it? I heard its the same fuel map as the GSR, but without IAB control.
Also I can use the JDM P30 from the B16 swap. Thank you

I'm not sure what you are trying to answer here... Can it be done? Sure. Is it going to run correctly? most likely not. Its BEST to have the ECU chipped and then tuned for your specific application. If you need something to get you by for the time being, the P61 would certainly do the trick. I'm pretty sure the P61 code is based off the P30 code, not the P72 code. With that in mind, they can't be exactly the same maps.
