two things I need help with.
Hey guys I need some help.
I have an 07 4door EX Autp and I'm averaging 26-27 mpg. It sucks. Civics are supposed to get better mileage. Now, I know everyone's fist response will be that I'm on the throttle too much, but I do not quickly accelerate and I hardly ever hit 3500 rpm. so any suggestions would be great.
My other problem is the noise I experience in the radio when I am charging my ipod and listening to it through the aux jack. I only get the noise when charging. could it be my charger, or my cable? Thanks!

Okay first off, 26-27 is most likely where it's at...it depends on highway/city too.
They advertised...for so and so mpg...but it's never accurate. So I think your in a good spot...unless you drive mostly highway..you'll get mpg than that.
Second, what kind of noise do you hear? like static? cause when i play my iPod and its charging at the same time...i kinda hear like a little static noise..but not to the point where its annoying or noticeable when playing any songs.
hope that helps

good point with the tires, but I do keep them at around 35-37. most of my driving is mixed, about half highway half city.
Yeah I do get static that is like a crackling noise and a little whine. I may just be over sensitive.

You're not over sensitive, I've heard it too. The only solution I've found to this is to not charge your iPod while listening to it through the aux jack. Before it died on me, I would always make sure that my iPod was fully charged before heading out for a drive.
The noise is probably some sort of electrical interference or feedback. I would think that since the electrical and audio systems are already linked, linking them together a second time (through the iPod) would cause feedback (the buzzing). It is also possible that it is a grounding issue. Please keep in mind that I am by no means an expert and I am only making an educated guess. Hopefully someone else will be able to provide better information on this.
