How do i change my amber lights blue?
Trending Topics
Got a 00' Si and was wondering if anybody has changed ther radio lights from amber to blue? If so how.
Isn't that illegal in the states?...it illegal where i am!
First I've heard of it. Anyway, some aftermarket headunits come with blue backlights.
its the face of the guages that make the amber lighting, NOT!!!! the bulbs. so i'm sorry bro but your out of luck. inside your instrument cluster there is a bulb condom which is amber and you can remove that but why?? Have you ever wanted to own a BMW?? if so you be get used to the amber lighting because thats all your going to get. I have changed the blue lighting in my eg6 to amber and I did it the correct way and I love it. Always I used to own a bmw before I wrecked it. Hope this helps... but honestly keep it the way your car came because it looks best.
I'm only trying to save you the trouble and headache involved with trying to rip out your interior.

Actually if you had some electronics knowledge you could change your deck's strip color by ordering a new strip and putting it on yourself. Ive seen people change their cell phone screens to electric blue before vendor's startered offerening them that way off the bat.
I'd personally recommend getting an aftermarket deck. Sony's Xplod series has electronic blue backlighting w/ red button lights that looks nice. The alpine deck is also blue, somewhat, though if you like flashy deck's it's face comes off rather simple.
In my opinion, your stock lighting is going to offer the best color matching. If you got a blue deck you'd have to change your back lights to blue to match and with the Si gauge cluster that's pretty tough. Not having lexan luminecent needles, your going to have problems seeing the tach at night with a darker blue glow. Indiglo gauges won't help the problem much because their ugly cyan blue back light fits only with 70's bathroom paint.
Keep it stock
or plan your whole interior lighting scheme from the scratch.
