Weird alignment issue/slicks?? My civic looks like a drift car!
Not even sure what to title the thread because to title it appropriatly I'd at least have to sort of know what the problem is. When racing or even just driving in the pits the car wants to rip the wheel out of my hands and take a turn to the left however if i switch the slicks side to side the problem is almost non-existant! I can keep it semi-straight but not in 3rd and 4th gear with 700+hp. Car has a spool.
I just got an alignment that is dead on. New tie rods on both sides. Traction bar used to set caster.
Car drives perfectly straight on street tires.
Pulls crazy hard to the left on slicks but then if I flip-flop the slicks the problem is almost non-existant. Thought it could possibly be something wrong with the slick but this is the 2nd pair and same problem. Maybe somebody has had a similar problem and can offer some advice. Thanks!

Corner balance the car...
check the roll out on the tires at equal pressure.
Check your steering rack bolts to make sure they're tight and your rack isn't shifting.

ben, have you looked over all of your ball joints and bushings up front ?
When we were @ Joe's earlier in the summer, hotrod on the dyno, we noticed the whole spindle shifting around(right front) turns out it was some crap bushings causing it to happen, maybe something like this is happening on your car as well? i could move my upper control arm a good inch or 2 with a prybar

Yup.. Battled a similar issue on our old All-Motor car. Slicks were different sizes and growing at different rates after the burnout.

What about a bent knuckle? One of my slicks seems to rub the knuckle on one side.

I checked over everything the last time this happened and it all looked good. The steering rack was lose but I tightened everything up thinking I had found the issue.

This has nothing to do with your problem but be extremely careful with that spool. I just took mine out because I notice that my axle almost popped out because the Axle bore was .050 over size than the factory bore. I could literally shake the CV out of the spool without prying on it....very scary thought of what could of happened if I didnt catch it...especially at 150+MPH.
