Blue or White Smoke? Opinions & Thoughts
What do you think? The car will do this after sitting overnight, it doesn't start right away. This time it took about 6 minutes of idling before it started. It doesn't have any distinct oil or coolant smell. The inside of the tip has a lot of condensation when this is happening. I do idle very rich until fully warmed up (i.e. 11:1). There is no sign of any smoke after I begin driving. My thoughts are either a mix of condensation and running very rich. Or possibly my valve seals. Or my turbo return line is kinked. Thoughts?
BTW, I am running a cat, and I am currently running horribly rich under boost (i.e. 10:1) because of a tuning issue. Just some extra factors to take into account. Compression is 180 across. I do lose oil. Stock block LS.
It may not look bad in the pictures, but if I start driving after its already doing this I leave a very noticeable trail of smoke behind me. Sometimes I can drive for 10 mins and it won't start until I get stuck at a traffic light.

I had a problem similar to this but adding oil fixed it for me as it was damn near empty. After i also had alot of condensation from the tip, but Im not really sure the cause because it cleared up after changing the oil.
my da used to do that after filling the oil meter all the way up
i change to 15w 50 and no more smoke, well every once in a while when i punch it
a big white cloud shoot out my exhaust

Well I decided to just start it up and go this morning, rather than let it idle. It did not smoke at all. I think that my cat is getting loaded with carbon before it heats up (idling at 11:1) and then burns it all off as soon as it begin to heat up. I need to get my tune corrected, its really pissing me off.
